The Something Scavenger Hunt

Updated: Apr 5, 2018

Let me just start this post by saying that I am so lucky to have such awesome friends..... Last week I received a text from a dear friend which went like this.....

Juliana: Hiiiii Laurie!! What's your week look like? I need to book some time for us!

Me: Hello!! As of right now I am free on Friday.

Juliana: Ok perf! What time on Friday!

Me: I am off work at 3 on Friday. What were you thinking?

Juliana: Something super fun and amazing. I'll bring my camera...maybe we can meet at the East End Market or something fun like that!? We can do a photo scavenger hunt.....

Me: That sounds like so much fun! Can't wait!

So, on Friday we met up at the East End Market. It was the first time that I had been to this place and it did not disappoint. Here is a brief description from their website so that you can get a feel for the place:

East End Market is a neighborhood market and food hub in the Audubon Park Garden District of Orlando, Florida. The Market showcases some of Central Florida’s top food entrepreneurs, tradespeople, artists, and chefs. The two-story structure is home to a dozen merchants, a large event space, a demonstration kitchen, an incubator kitchen, offices, retail shops, a full-time, award-winning caterer and a world-class restaurant. The first floor hosts eleven independently-owned businesses offering sushi, daily baked bread, freshly roasted coffee, Italian prepared meals and sweets, Kombucha, organic juice, raw food specialties, artisan cheeses, savory soups and sauces, local groceries and flowers. The property is landscaped with Florida-friendly varietals, as well as home to a working market garden. East End Market is not only a hub for local food and culture, but also a community space fostering creativity and collaboration.

I entered the market and was given a guided tour by my lovely friend. She showed me all around the place and pointed out some really cool / unique things. And then the real fun began....we began the scavenger hunt that she created....it was titled THE SOMETHING!

See below....

We checked off each SOMETHING one by one. We decided it would be most fun to complete each number on the list at the same time and then at the end of the list come together to show one another what our own interpretation and photo was for each something. Some items came easier than others. We met lots of shop owners and really got acquainted with the place. Check out of final images for our SOMETHING scavenger hunt.

1. SOMETHING that makes you smile

2. SOMETHING that inspires you
